Yolanda Rivera Guadiana gained her angel wings peacefully with her daughter by her side on Monday November 28th 2022.

Yolanda will be strongly remembered for her selfless soul, her love for her family and friends, her kind strong heart, and her 20 plus long years dressing the community at Bealls. Yolanda will be fiercely missed for her strong work ethic, for dressing her grandchildren in the clothes she would make, for her home cooked meals, and her ability to make all the flowers bloom.

She was preceded in death by her son Marco Antonio ‘Tato’ Guadiana, her grandson Valdemar ‘Val’ Guadiana III, her parents Telesforo and Josefa Rivera, her siblings Virginia ‘Coty’ Tafoya, Juan ‘Nito’ Rivera, Carmen Rivera, Jose ‘Pone’ Rivera, and Leticia ‘Lety’ Elizondo.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 59 years Valdemar Guadiana; siblings Jesus ’Chuy’, Hilda ‘Cubana’, and Reynaldo ‘Cubano’ Rivera; daughter Viola Guadiana Lopez (Ricardo ‘Ric’) and son Valdemar Guadiana Jr.; grandchildren Joshua Polanco, Alvaro (III) and Brianna Lopez, Chloe SeaAnne, Marco Jr., and Andrew Guadiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to those who assisted in the tough final years of her life. To her friends/co-workers that continued to visit aka “The Queen City Beall’s” Annie Marin, Mary Barrientos, and Dolores Jauriqui you kept her spirit smiling. To her Nurses Mirtha Hernandez and Miriam Gonzalez that assisted in keeping her strong, safe, and fighting.

She will be missed but always remembered in the flowers all around.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
