Richard Allen Matousek, of Bloomfield Township, Michigan, passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 82. Richard was born to Stephen and Libby Matousek in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University where he met Kathleen Read. They married in 1967, raised three children, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage together.

Above all, Richard was devoted to providing and caring for his family. He was a proud and loving father and role model to Jennifer, Jason and Kristen. Richard loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed weekends at his cottage, playing cards with life-long friends, boating, and home improvement projects. Richard was affectionately known for his sense of humor and ready smile.

Richard is survived by his wife Kathleen; his three children, Jennifer (Matthew Bischoff) Matousek, Jason Matousek, and Kristen (Adam) Abele; granddaughters Anna and Ella Bischoff; and sister Janice (Louie) Karle. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert (Joy) Matousek and Stephen (Catherine) Matousek.
