Kathy Sue Fallon Obituary

Age 68, of Cecil Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.


Kathy was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Doris H. (Holland) Fallon; dear sister of Ann (John) Wells, and Karen Grable; aunt of Stephen and Jeffrey Brock, Brian Grable, William and Patrick Monaghan, and Catherine Flannery; and lifelong friend of Janet (Bill) Zeiger, and Joel and Kathy Ross. She is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, members of Community of Christ Church, her traditional Irish folk music community, and her beloved furbaby, Ricky.


Kathy was born in Chicago, IL on July 25, 1954. She and her family moved to Upper St. Clair, PA when she was 5 years old. She graduated from Upper St. Clair High School and went to Graceland College in Lamoni, IA , where she majored in English, minored in music, and graduated in 1977. She studied classical guitar at the University of Missouri, Kansas City Conservatory of Music.


Kathy worked in bookstores nurturing her interest in literature. Her love for children led her to teach special education. She followed her passion for musical performance and arrangement, playing in Ireland, Wales, and across the United States. She became well known in the Pittsburgh Irish folk music community.


As a member and minister in Community of Christ church she played guitar and sang for many church services and events throughout the country. She advanced in ministry by becoming a pastor of her church in Bethel Park, PA. subsequently earning a Master of Religious Arts degree from Graceland University Seminary.


She is fondly remembered for her creativity and humor.
