Graveside Service for Mrs. Esther Aquirre, age 74, of Sarepta, LA, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Shiloh Cemetery, Springhill, LA, with Rev. Gladney Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Mrs. Aguirre was born on September 12, 1948 in Charleston, WV and passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in Sarepta, LA. Esther Aguirre was an extraordinary woman. Her roots were tied deeply with her faith in the Lord and that bled over into every aspect of her life. Not many people truly live a Christ filled life but the same could not be said for her. Diligent in her daily prayers and reading scriptures. Her life was filled with loving simplicity. Every birthday cake, every stitch sewn, and every act of service was filled with love and support for her family. When life was not fair to her she did not stray from the lord, she just reminded those she loved of the promises the lord made and kept her head high. She was creative, always writing in her journal and doodling immaculate pictures of her childhood home. She truly touched everyone she met. All of them speaking of her soft voice and unyielding kindness. She led her family by example, always working hard and seeking direction from the lord. Her daughters called her best friend, always running to her with life problems when things got too tough. She didn’t say much but she always spoke from a place of understanding and support. Just a phone call away, she always had an ear to listen. She was an amazing and strong woman. She could turn a house into a home, meals into comfort, and hugs into safety nets. We are here to remember her life and the imprint she put on our hearts forever. The legacy she leaves is that of forgiveness and grace and always putting diligence before pride.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tonya M. Garcia and  Melissa A. and husband Joshua Moya of Springhill, LA; four granddaughters, Carmen M. Walker, Micayla R. Hammontree, Alivia R. Meza and Abigail M. Moya; two grandsons, Eric S. Meza and Samuel P. Moya; two cousins, Dottie Long and  Nancy English; .

Mrs. Aguirre was preceded in death by father, Wilson Joseph Lopez, mother, Mildred Rosalee Ferby and brother, Wilson Lopez, Jr..

Pallbearers will be Samuel P. Moya, Joshua Moya, Wyatt L. Barnette, Jesus Gutierrez, Joseph Moya, Dale Thompson and Kenneth Dillon.
