<p>BREAUX BRIDGE ~ Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro for Marion Alesich Sr., age 92, who passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Breaux Bridge.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Brother Brandon Gainey will officiate at the services.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Marion was a native of Port Sulphur. He was a resident of Breaux Bridge for seventeen years having served as an usher at New Beginning Fellowship Church in Breaux Bridge. He was employed by International Marine Terminals for over a decade.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include two sons, Morris Alesich of Breaux Bridge and Marion "Puggy" Alesich, Jr. of Carencro; five grandchildren, Megan Myers and husband Brock, Brandon Gainey and wife Destinie, Summer Whitchead and husband Dwayne, Michelle Howington and Joshua Alesich; thirteen great grandchildren, Rayden, Sayerd, Cayman, Ty, Alena, Luke, Sophie, Carter, Hudson, Mckenna, Grace, Aria and Jada.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his parents, Spiro Alesich and the former, Emilia Hihar Alesich, his wife Mildred Alesich, one daughter, Melissa Gainey; three brothers, Andrew Alesich, Lawrence Alesich and Lionel Alesich; and two sisters, Viola Alesich and Katy Middleton.</p><p><br></p><p>The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of service on Monday.</p><p><br></p><p>Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.</p>Obituary
