Jack Alexander Obituary

Jackie Lee “Jack” Alexander, age 74, of Frankton, Indiana, died peacefully in his home from natural causes on November 22, 2022. Mr. Alexander was born August 23, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Wilford J. Alexander and June E. (Stapleton) Alexander. He graduated from Frankton High School in 1966.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army as a combat medic during the Vietnam War. He was also an Airborne Green Beret. Jack met Mary Esther Killian in 1984 and they were married in December of 1985.

He served as an auditor and tooling coordinator for Delco Remy until retirement. He was an active member of the Ironwood Bible Methodist Church. He served on the school board for Frankton/Lapel Community schools.

Jack loved God, his church, and his church family. He loved people and people loved him. In his early years he was an avid bowler, active in Boy Scouts of America, and a member of Toastmasters International. He loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and photography. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

Survivors include: 
His loving wife, Mary E. (Killian) Alexander of Frankton. 
Son, Paul Christopher Alexander (Heather Rodenbeck) of Greenwood.  
Son, Phil Alexander (Jennifer Glick) of Anderson. 
Son, Yun Bin Chen (Dan Hua Li). 
Grandchildren: Miles Alexander, Elianna Alexander, Grayden Alexander, Gavin Alexander, Haven Alexander, Xin Yan Li and Toby Chen. Former Wife Devonna L. Boling. Brothers and Sisters Hilda Jones (James), Jerry Alexander (Teresa), Marilyn Alexander, Linda Harper (James), Eric Alexander, and Paul Bickel. 
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilford J. Alexander and June E. (Stapleton) Alexander, brother Wilford J. Alexander, and wife Patricia Ann (Knauer) Alexander.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Circle of Hope Wesleyan Church, 2406 Delaware Street, Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Circle of Hope Wesleyan Church in Anderson with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service. 

Burial with military honors will take place December 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Marion National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ironwood Bible Methodist Church.
