Ted Rios
May 6, 1937 - October 26, 2022
MERCED, California - Ted Rios was born in Edinburgh, TX and soon moved to the Central Valley. A long-time resident of Merced married his high school sweetheart, Connie Ornelas, in 1958. Their lovely union lasted 61 years.
He was a good man who had a knack for making you feel special. He enjoyed L.A. sports teams, watching old westerns, playing pool and arranging bus trips to Nevada casinos and taking his family on vacations.
He worked as a forklift driver for Merced Color-press for many years till he had a stroke in 1998. He bravely endured the stroke and diabetic complications for the next 24 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, survived by his grandson Ted Gutierrez, his daughter Veronica and his son Ted Rios Jr.
A visitation will be held on Nov. 28 at Ivers and Alcorn, 901 W. Main St. Merced California from 4 - 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Nov. 30 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 519 W. 12th Street, Merced California, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 260 W. Childs Ave., Merced California
