Bernard Patrick Schirtzinger, 81, of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and formaly of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away on November 24, 2022.  He was born in Wilkes-Barre PA on March 30, 1941, the son of Bernard F. Schirtzinger and Marion C. (O'Neil) Schirtzinger.  He was known by those who loved him as Bernie or Pat.  Pat graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas.  Pat retired after 40 years from Western Electric, aka Lucent Technologies.  He was a self-taught photographer and craftsman.  He loved taking pictures of his family and the area wildlife while building custom designs in his wood shop.  Pat was married to his wife Sue for 58 years before her passing in 2020.  Pat was preceded in death by his mother and father and his wife who was the true love of his life.  He is survived by his three children; Patrick (Susan) Schirtzinger, Stephanie Schirtzinger, Natalie (Steve) Fox; 8 adoring grandchildren, Zachery (Kori), Ashley, Luke, Patrick, Lance, Lauren, Landon, and Haley; and his brother John Thomas and sister, Paula.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the beach he and his beloved wife loved so much.  In lieu of flowers, please make donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
