A Cox’s Creek resident, Mr. Donald Ray “Donnie” Thompson, age 80, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his residence. He was born October 9, 1942 in Louisville to the late Ray and Mary Bruington Thompson. Donnie was a UA Local 502 Pipefitter. He loved hunting, fishing, and target shooting, and he was a jokester who loved to talk.

He is survived by 2 sons, Anthony Ray Thompson of Simpsonville, Aaron (Robyn) Thompson of Bardstown, his sister, Ann Martin of Ft. Myers, FL., 3 grandchildren, Johnathan, Jennifer and Andrew Thompson, and a niece and nephew, Marianne and Mark.

Cremation was chosen by the family and they ask that you pay your respects at Newcomer East Louisville Chapel from 3:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Inurnment will be in Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Harned, Kentucky at a later date.
