Illa Faye Payne

Illa Faye Payne, affectionately known as Granny, passed to her heavenly rest on Tuesday, November 22nd at her home in Waxahachie. She was born May 6, 1930, in Paint Rock, Tx to Merriett and Loree Williams.

She glorified God all the days of her life with her beautiful example of a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Illa Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Russell Payne Sr and son, George Payne. She is survived by her children Russell Payne Jr and wife Joy, Charles Payne and wife Brenda, Carol Pruitt and husband Herman, and daughter in law Debbie Payne.

“Granny” was blessed with 24 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren,24 great-great grandchildren
