<p>Ms. Anita Streeter Norton of Tampa, FL passed away on Wednesday November 23, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 10, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel AME Church, 915 E. Okaloosa Avenue Tampa FL 33604 with Rev. Jacqueline Coffie-Leeks, Officiating. Interment to follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Anita Streeter Norton was born to the late Mr.&amp; Mrs. Johnnie (Inez) Streeter on December 27, 1941, in Tampa, Florida, Sulphur Springs area. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County graduating from Middleton High School Class of 1959, preserving such memorabilia as, senior class bulletins, report cards, graduation photos, diploma, etc. She was extremely proud when 50 years to the day, her twin grandsons graduated from her alma mater. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Anita had a great love for cooking, (and she really could cook) baking, sewing, shopping, playing musical instruments, and cussing. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Nita, as she was affectionately called, had a kind heart, and extended a lending hand to many. In her younger years, she loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruises. Anita spent her entire life in the Sulphur Springs Community of which her family has been a part of for the past 97 years. She loved family gatherings, and worked tirelessly with great effort and energy, to carry on the tradition of The Washington Family Reunion which was established in 1940 by her Grandmother Mrs. Julia Ann Washington. She was employed by Hillsborough County Schools and The State of Florida, retiring from the State in 1995 after 34 years of service. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>She was preceded in death by: parents, Johnnie and Inez Streeter; sisters, Verdell Streeter, Luvenia Tyson, Johnnie Mae Mobley, Delouris Streeter, and Rosa Moultry; and </p><p>brother, Willie Streeter. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>She leaves to cherish fond memories of her: two sons, Delbert Charles Norton, and Minister Jerr'e Norton (Shunae); daughter, Delya Norton-Dennard (Michael) all of Tampa, Florida; five grandsons, Andrew Holloway III (Deonna), Adrian Easterling (Latori) of Spring, Texas, O'Danhue Lynch, Devin and Darrion Norton (twins), all of Tampa, Florida; four great granddaughters, Janiyha Hall, Zariyah Holloway, Shariyah Holloway, of Tampa, Florida, and Nyla Easterling of Spring, Texas; two brothers, Henry Streeter, and Leonard Streeter (Roxian) all of Tampa, Fl.; two goddaughters, Simone Reddick (William), and Valerie Chapman; seven nephews, Lonnie Moultry III (Valeria), Leroy Moultry (Shirley), Rodnick Boyd (Shadel), Anthony Boyd, Nathaniel Bostick (Helen), Leonard Streeter Jr. , Keith Peartree, and Johnnie Harris; thirteen nieces, Julia Ann Rosenbar, Brenda Streeter, Cecelia Johnson, Selma Jackson, Sherron Moultry (her girl”), Lorraine Mitchell (Carl), Vickie Hudley, Tiffany Nelson, Wanda McLeneon, Kesha Streeter, Rev. Nicole Streeter, Monica Streeter, and Janice Streeter; devoted friends, Sandra Roberts, Marilyn Streeter, Barbara Harris, Dorthy Smith, Ella Rose Chapman, Janice Harden, Shirley Reese, Arnette Wilson, Lydia Moultry and Johnny Wilson; special great niece, Sherita (Tony) Lovette; cousins, Elizebath Smith, and Mary Luther; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, as well as the Sulphur Springs Community and Middleton Class of 1959. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Special thanks to: Advent Health Home Care, Nurse Shantay Williams, and Holly Brown. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N.
