Marshall E. Jenkins Jr., 72, of Vinton, Virginia, was called home on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall E. Jenkins Sr. and Bessie Banner Jenkins; sisters, Doris Ann King and Sharon Calhoun; brothers, Steve Jenkins, David Jenkins, and Darryl Jenkins; and his hunting friend of 40 + years, Ed Wheeler.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Scarlet Jenkins; son, Pete Rickman (Debbie); daughter, Tammy Rickman (Jody); sister, Sandra Roberts (Sherwood); and brother, James Jenkins; granddaughter Megan Roland (Adam); grandson Jacob and three great grand-children.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Terry Nester officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the funeral home.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the excellent nurses and staff of the 6th floor and Palliative Care Unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
