It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Bernice Mazurkiewicz (Kittel) on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, with her daughters by her side. She would have turned 95 on Christmas Day.

Beloved wife of the late Ted (2007).

Loving mother to Janis Pfister, Janine (Doug) Psutka, Joanne (Cam) Rourke and Jane.

Proud Grandmother to Dayna, Kyla, Matthew, Jarrod, Rebecca, Meghan, Spencer, Simon and cherished Great-Grandmother to Colton.

Predeceased by her dear sister Joan Berberich (1990), caring son-in-law Wolf Pfister (2002), and sisters-in-law Jennie Tracey (2009) and Frances Dziubinski (2012).

Bernice was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Parish, Kitchener. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, who also enjoyed shopping and travelling. Bernice had an appreciation for the arts, listening to classical music, attending live theatre and watching figure skating events.

There was nothing more important to Bernice than her family. She especially loved the family game nights and themed parties.

She'll be missed by her weekly coffee group at her apartment building.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and Dr. Jagas at Lanark Village for these last few months. Also, many thanks to the staff on 6B and 6C at Grand River Hospital for their wonderful care, with a special thank you to Dr. Goel for her kindness.

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
