Mary Grace Foster-Taylor-Williams-Jordan, was born Thursday, May 11th, 1916 to Minister Benjamin Frank Foster and Evie Mae Miller in Hickory Flat, Mississippi. God called his faithful servant to her eternal home at 9:20 am Sunday, October 24th, 2021 at the golden age of 105 years old to be with her Lord and Savior. Mary professed her life to Christ at an early age. She left Hickory Flat, Mississippi to pursue nurses training in Myrtle Mississippi and became a nurse's assistant at Myrtle Medical Center she uprooted in Memphis Tennessee laboring as a nurse's assistant farmer, picking cotton, singing and praising God. She and her sisters formed a Gospel Group called God’s Angels and they sang throughout Memphis, Tennessee. Mary encountered Minister Tommy Taylor, they married and unto this union 4 children were born. Tommy Taylor passed. Mary continued to sing and praise God. Mary, The Woman of God, encountered the man of God, Bishop Eli Berry Williams Sr. They married with Bishop Williams Sr. adopting Mary’s four children and to this union 5 children were born.


Mary and Eli ministered and sang the word of God throughout Memphis, Tennessee and in areas of Arkansas. Putting God first in their life, praying continuously Jesus Christ took the pilot seat guided them to Toledo, Ohio and spoke to them and said, “Build my church.” Being obedient to the word of God, Mary and Eli organized, formed and established The True Church of God of the Apostolic Faith Inc. in the living room of their home. Jesus blessings was everlasting relocating Their church into one of the largest churches in Toledo, Ohio 2146 North 12TH Street. In the honor of Bishop Eli Berry Williams Sr., North 12th Street has been renamed as Bishop Eli Berry Williams Way. Mary, being obedient and working diligently for Jesus Christ, he moved them throughout Toledo Ohio blessing Mary with her church family Mother Josephine Rayford, Marilyn Cole, Sisters Barbara Collins, Willie Eva Jones, Patricia Day, Thelma Jones, Lula Mae, Mini Hickman, Callie Hughes, Alberta Day, Woody (Chi-chi) Loveless, Brother George Jackson, Lorenzo Collins and Brother Day.


Mary labored, loved cooking and baking; she sold dinners to keep the house of God doors open. The whole community loved her dinners and pie and pastries Alberta Day and Mary held down the North. They would not let them stop as they continued to put in orders and she faithfully continued to supply their needs as Jesus continued to supply her every need. She devoted her purpose working in conjunction with her husband organized the North central clean up cleaning the streets and the houses in the community refurbishing Lucas County North the city of Toledo adopted the cleanup. To fulfill the need for education in the community, they founded and established the school for adults in 1963. Mary attended the school graduating in 1964, upon graduation she enrolled in Upholstery School graduating in 1966. She opened a reupholstering business reupholstering rags.


Being the co-founder of the True Church of God, the oldest church Mother, Evangelist, mother, sister and friend she was the listening ear you needed. If you call her, she came not by herself but with Jesus Christ. Daily, she recited the Lord’s Prayer the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want.” Mary continuously taught us about Jesus Christ and how to call on Him for everything and knew He would always deliver. She also taught and showed us that Jesus can do the impossible and we were a witness to the many miracles He performed. She covered and anointed all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the neighborhood children in the blood of Jesus. She also played and prayed with all the neighborhood children and they became adopted by. Her fruit she sowed was plentiful and her rewards were many. Mary took children to nursing homes and hospitals to pray over the sick; she was a healer through Jesus Christ.


Mary went to Jesus for everything; she didn’t run to the doctor for the doctor she called upon is Jesus and He directed her on exactly what to do and she faithfully followed his directions. Her faith in Jesus was so strong that whatever he told her solved the problem. Mary was a physician by the instructions of Jesus Christ. She had passion for the soul she had love for everyone and she made sure she told you the recipe for salvation we're going to miss you but you never will be forgotten its hard to describe her some say grade some may say excellent some might say gorgeous and the kids may say "Bomb Diggity" or the "Whip Appeal" and they all fit we are not going to be selfish you was God's First Jesus said rest for your labor has been done and your you reward has come so wear your wings for you deserve them you earned them and I say to you Mother JOB WELL DONE. Favorite words: "Women what do you have on you're mine outside of your hair" "Men what do you have on your mind outside of your hat". Favorite question, "Im Tava, you tava, how am I?"


Mary entered her heavenly home received by husbands: Min. Tommy Taylor, Bishop Eli Berry Williams Sr. and Willie Jordan; sons, Jerry Taylor, Keith Bryant, Pete Jones, Micheal Smith and Joè Dublin; daughters, Betty Taylor and Tamara Williams; grandsons, Eli Berry Williams, Jesse Lamont, Elijah Williams, Eli Berry Williams III, Leo Hall, Sam Williams and Derrick Green Jr.; great grandsons, Darnell Green & Yamir Williams; sons-in-law, Marion Talley Sr., Adel Coley and Stewart Moore; Mother, Evie May; Father, Rev. Benjamin Frank; Sisters, Mama Lean Traylor, Elizabeth Weber, Sarah Davis, Gertrude Randall, Hattie Jones, Irene Mosley, Ruby Scott, Ruby Traylor, Seady Cheney, Brenda Dublin, Patty Cole, Barbara Jean Braswell; Brothers, Frank Willard, Richard, Jim and Frank Foster; Mother and Father In-law, Leona and Jesse Owens.
