Taniel Sanders Obituary

Taniel Patrice Sanders affectionately known as “Nelly”, 36, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born at Toledo Hospital on November 18, 1984 to Tamera Sanders (Rios), Elliott Sanders and Leonard Chandler.


Taniel attended McKinley Elementary and Start High School in Toledo; Saint Hyacinth High School-West Potomac and Mount Vernon High School. She furthered her education at the University of Toledo. Her employment included: Darlington Nursing Home, Jeep, Toledo Psychiatric Hospital.


Nelly’s favorite pastimes were singing and dancing, watching the latest TV shows and movies and spending time with family and Friends. She was a Cheerleader and was the winner of a Cheerleading competition. Taniel was an advocate for the National Cancer Society and she was the Keynote speaker for “Triple The Pink” Triple Negative Cancer Awareness Virtual Presentation. Her greatest disappointment in life was not surviving to see her son grow up to be a man.


Taniel was preceded in death by: son, Jaden Sanders; grandparents: Mamie Jo Austin, Sam Edward Sanders, Wardell and Delores Chandler, John Harris and brother, Jason Sanders.


She is survived by her son, Brandon Elliott Ross; parents, Tamera Sanders (Rios), Elliott (Zaydah) Sanders and Leonard Chandler; grandparents, Carl Ellis, Joseph Austin and Eleanor Harris; brothers: Phillip (Lele) Sanders, Terin Phoenix, Dasean Parker, Ali Kamara, Ballah Kamara, Foday Kamara, Jomar Falu-Vives and Justin Bradley; sisters: Whitney Sisson, Mylanda Bradley and Naomi Joyner; Nephews, Malik and Khalil Sanders; nieces, Alayah Mundy and Nile Sanders; uncles: Jamal Ellis, James Goings, Willie Vaughn, Charles Booker, Danny Chandler, Michael Chandler and George Foley; aunts: Starlet Braxton, Nalo Grant, Sandra Chandler, Charrise Curry, Mickey Vaughn, LaCartha, Shanna and Audree Weirick; Godmother, Belinda Fann and a host of other loving relatives and special friends.
