Audrey Mae Kirk

<p>Audrey Mae Kirk was born to Lawrence and Ida McGowan January 18, 1949 in Albany,</p><p>Louisiana. She was the sixth of twelve children. </p><p><br></p><p>At the age of 13, Audrey was baptized at the river by the late Rev. Earlo Davis of the Mt.</p><p>Kingdom Baptist Church. </p><p><br></p><p>Most of her education she received at Livingston Parish and graduated from Greenville Park in </p><p>1967. </p><p><br></p><p>As a child, Audrey was known as the fastest runner of her siblings. She was the one who would</p><p>climb the trees and the one you couldn't catch. She was also able to get her sister Ida (BB) to do</p><p>anything she told her to do. She was the one you couldn't whoop and the tiny one, which is</p><p>where her nickname "Tiny" came from. </p><p><br></p><p>On April . 201968, she married her lifelong partner of 53 years Clarence Kirk. In November of </p><p>1968, Clarence packed them up and moved to Toledo, Ohio. She became a member of</p><p>Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. TJ Wiggins. She was</p><p>a very active member of the church serving on the Usher Board, Finance Committee, Youth</p><p>Department, and Chairperson of the Pastor Anniversary. She remained a faithful member until</p><p>her passing under the Leadership of Pastor Sylvester Rome. </p><p><br></p><p>Audrey worked a couple of jobs with her favorite job being her job at St. Elizabeth School where</p><p>she was known as the lunch room "mom". She began foster parenting in 1986 and became a</p><p>parent to many foster kids. </p><p><br></p><p>On Wednesday June 23, 2021, Audrey departed this life and is now resting in peace. She leaves</p><p>to cherish her memories her laving husband of 53 years. Clarence Kirk Sr~ two daughters.,. Valeri.e</p><p>(Leroy) Hollowell and Loretta Kirk; one Son, Clarence (Jeannine) Kirk Jr., all of Toledo, Ohio; 8 </p><p>grandkids, Ishmael shine, Vizaak (Michelle) Shine,· DeShawnte (Sydney) Shine, Dallas, Tx, LaTisha</p><p>White, Demetrius Hardiman, Juanisha Kirk, Tanaya Kirk and Curtis Kirk of Charlotte, NC; 13 </p><p>great grandkids; 2 special daughters, Marquita Brown and Kimberly Thomas; 3 God children, </p><p>Tayisha Labiche-Green of Marrera, LA, Prentiss Brown Jr., and Dalaysia Brown both of Toledo, </p><p>Qhi.o;. 4. s.Jste.rs,. lulia. Mae Pal.mer,. Hammond,. La, Ida (Le.ray) Austin,_ KJllian,. La,. Ca.rolyn </p><p>McGowan, Toledo, Ohio, Christine McFarland, Baton Rouge, La; one brother, Emmitt (Sarah)</p><p>McGowan, Hammond, La; 4 brother in laws, Richard (Linda) Kirk Sr., Louis Branch, Oliver</p><p>(Debra) Kirk all of Baton Rouge, La, Leroy (Rosalyn) Kirk of Ponchatoula, La; 2 sister in laws,</p><p>Ruby Allen, Baton Rouge, La, and Joyce Kirk of Ponchatoula, La. And a host of relatives, nieces,</p><p>nephews and friends. A special thank you to her home nurse Jamee' Temple. </p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Ida McGowan; Daughter, Kimberly Kirk</p><p>Munn; Two grandkids Quanisha and Alayja Kirk; 3 Brothers. Johnny, June, James McGowan;</p><p>Three sisters, Ledell Branch, Dorothy Jones and Babara Jean Oguinye and son-in-law Tommy</p><p>Shine.</p>
