Regel Lee Haynes

<p>Regel Lee Haynes was born on April 24, 1954 in McKenzie, </p><p>TN. He was the youngest of the seven children born to Jimmie </p><p>and Mattie Haynes. </p><p>Regel spent his early years in McKenzie, TN; attending Webb </p><p>Elementary. When the family relocated to Toledo, OH, in 1965, </p><p>he attended Lincoln Elementary, and Robinson Junior High. </p><p>Regel went to Scott High School, where he was captain of football and wrestling, placed 2nd in the state in wrestling his junior and senior year. He also help led the football team to the City Championship before graduating in 1972. </p><p>Upon graduating high school, Regel went to Ohio University in </p><p>Athens, OH before enlisting in the military, serving in the U.S. </p><p>Army. He served his country honorably from 1975 to 1979. </p><p>Returning to Ohio in 1980, Regel married Davina Long in </p><p>1981 and started a family. He worked several manufacturing jobs </p><p>before moving to Maryland in 1997. In Maryland, he worked at </p><p>Smithfield Foods, and was also a counselor and a Para-transport </p><p>at a group home for boys. Upon retirement, Regel returned to </p><p>Toledo in 2013. </p><p>After retirement, Regel's focus was on family. He enjoyed </p><p>spending time with his grandchildren, giving guidance to his </p><p>nephews, as well as sitting on the porch and "shootin' the </p><p>breeze" with family, friends, and neighbors. </p><p>He was preceded in death by both his parents, Jimmie and </p><p>Mattie; brothers Cluster, Billy, and James; and sister Delores. </p><p>Regel leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Tschann </p><p>Haynes, Danielle McCarver, Natanya Moody (Anthony); </p><p>grandchildren Jadan, JaiLa, JaNae, Tyler, TeAria, DaVon, </p><p>Kennedy, and Madison; sister Janet Pearson, brother Donnie </p><p>Haynes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, </p><p>grand nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.</p>

Obituary

Regel Lee Haynes was born on April 24, 1954 in McKenzie,

TN. He was the youngest of the seven children born to Jimmie

and Mattie Haynes.

Regel spent his early years in McKenzie, TN; attending Webb

Elementary. When the family relocated to Toledo, OH, in 1965,
