<p>Thelma Mae Montgomery was born on May 27th, 1932 to Milton Sr. and Ethel Ethridge in Haddock, Georgia. Thelma was called home to be with the Lord after a brave battle on February 25th, 2021 at the UT Medical College. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Pound, sister Lillian Webb and brother Milton Ethridge Jr.. She leaves to cherish her memories; sons Bruce Ethridge and Thomas Montgomery, and host of cousins, nieces, grandchildren family and friends. </p><p>Special friends Ms. Rosa Day, Ms. JoAnn Yowpp, Ms. Peggy Winston, and Ms. Mae Snodgrass.</p><p><br></p><p>Thelma came to Toledo at an early age where she attended public school and graduated from Libbey High school. </p><p>She worked in the Dietary department at the Toledo Hospital and then retired at General Mills after working there many years. After she retired from General Mills, Thelma enjoyed worshiping at Warren AME Church, listening to gospel music and cooking her favorite cakes, pies for the church and many people. </p><p><br></p><p>She knew that God was in charge of everything that happened in her journey on earth. This passage in life allowed her to share and pass a realm of knowledge and comfort to others. Her warm love and laughter filled our spirits with joy. </p><p>Thelma's life is her message to the world. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives.</p>
