Ms. LaCina Magal Freeman, 54, affectionately known as Seenie, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, OH. She was born to the late Vernice Maria Mason and Walter Curtis Atkins on March 12, 1966, in Toledo, Ohio.

Seenie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend who was revered everywhere she went. She attended Start High School and received her General Education Diploma. She went on to attend the University of Toledo, and held numerous service sector jobs in the community. Seenie was passionate about helping individuals in recovery, as she journeyed on her own, and served as a Sponsor to numerous women. Her spirit was infectious, and her smile was radiant. She was a woman of great faith, who always gave selflessly to others. She will be remembered for her strength and endearing heart.

Preceding her in death were her parents and sister Karen A. Freeman.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter Jasmine V. Freeman, Cleveland, OH and four sons, Vernon L. Freeman, Fredrick Stevon Hitt, Marion P. Freeman, Immony H. Freeman of Toledo, Ohio; four sisters Darnetta (Randall) Morthel, California, Aquilla E. Freeman, Marva L. Mason and Nona M. Mason, Toledo, OH; three brothers Gerry W. Freeman, Toledo, OH, Mark A. Freeman and Levant J. Mason, North Carolina; two grandchildren Veronica F. Freeman and Halo J. Freeman, Toledo, OH; special friends Lori “Loopie” Smith, Ray Latta, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
