David Jamarr Sherman 43 was born in Toledo, Ohio January 4th 1978 and departed January 9th, 2021. He attended Mc Kinley and Glenwood grade school, and Old West End Jr. High. He was a graduate of Jesup W. Scott high school and the University of Toledo in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. David achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and mentored other scouts in achieving the rank of Eagle scout. His travels took him to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron New Mexico, several National Jamborees, and many camp out's as a Senior Patrol leader. He served civically as an advocate for Juvenile justice, children services volunteer, and a member of the City of Toledo Board of Community Relations. He worked as a Executive at the Boy Scouts of America, he aslo worked in Security for many years and was last employed as a Deputy at the Lucas County Sheriff's department. David loved gospel music and his favorite's was the Thomas Whitfield Company and the Rance Allen Group. He grew up in St. James C.O.G.I.C under the leadership of the late Bishop William M. James. He was active in the Sunshine Band, Sunday school, YPWW and youth choir. He was presently a member of Servants Heart Christian church. He loved the word of God and Worship and Praise service. He was instrumental in helping with the back to school program for disadvantaged youth. He was also very supportive of the church building fund. David loved family and helped organize, plan, and assist in many family reunions. He was instrumental in locating many family members that were not aware that we were family. He leaves to cherish his memory parents Bishop G.Frank and Margaret A. Sherman, Sister Marquita Sherman and many relatives and friends. " Once A Bull Dog, always a Bulldog "
