Leon Blackman “Snookie” 57 died July 1, 2016. He was born in Chicago, IL January 19, 1959. Leon graduated from Woodward High School and was employed with the City of Toledo Street Division 23 years. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Army. Leon was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Jones and sister Leona Jones. Survivors are his parents: Richard C. Jones, Sr. and Leon Cosley; children: Marquise Blackman (Miranda Rieger), Brandon and Tiffani Blackman; six grandchildren; siblings: Robert Jones, Sr. (Quincy), Danny Jones, Sr. (Arvella), Richard Jr., Bernice and Mamie Jones, Avery Cosley, Latonya Cosley (Rena’), Stephanie Cosley and Katisha (Frank) Triggs; special friend, Hazel Minor-Fell; mothers of his children, Robin Burt Carouthers and Sonya Blackman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016, from 7:00-9:00pm, at the House of Day Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00am, preceded by a 10:00am Wake, at Eastern Star Baptist Church. Rev. John Williams Pastor, Bishop Darrell F. Sheares, Sr., Officiant.
