<p>Robert (Bob) Michael Ober, born March 1, 1935, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 46 years, Misako (Misa) Kawano Ober. Robert bravely served in the US Navy and then went on to a career with the United States Post Office until his retirement. He lived in Bakersfield, California, with his wife where he enjoyed bowling and playing competitive horseshoes. He and Misa loved to travel throughout the country and made an effort to visit as many national parks as possible. Many visits to Japan also brought them joy. Upon her death, Bob moved back to his hometown area in Westville, NJ prior to moving in with his nephew, Vincent Lombardo to live out his final days surrounded by love and peace.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel Hammonton on December 17, 2022 at 2 PM, followed by a desert reception.</p>
