Aurora

Mary Eleanor O’Connor, 100 of age of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Born on January 29, 1922, in Syracuse, New York, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Doody) Henneberry. Mary grew up in Pompey, New York where she graduated from High School. Formally of North Syracuse, New York, she had been an Aurora resident since 1970. As an avid golfer, she was well known for continuing to golf every day in Aurora. Mary will also be remembered as a true lover of all animals. In 1942, she married Daniel F. O’Connor who preceded her in death in 1993. Also preceding on July 21, 2021 was her daughter Mary Jo O’Connor. Survivors include her sons, Robert “Pat” O’Connor of Rome, New York, Thomas O’Connor of Los Angeles, California; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. No calling hours or services. Final resting place is at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Pompey, New York.
