Richard Anthony Bryant Obituary

Richard Anthony "Slick Rick" Bryant, passed away peacefully, January 22, 2016. He was born on October 20, 1980, in Washington, DC, to the late Henry Bryant, Jr. and Beverly Bryant. Rick and the family moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1995. He graduated from Scott High School in 1999. He was in the marching band of Scott High School, playing the Tuba, which he was obsessed with. Rick held quite a few jobs, a Security Guard, Rent-A-Center Associate, Truck Driver for J.B. Hunt Trucking Company, Tarta, Lake Front Bus Lines and Greyhound. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Bryant; brothers, Derek and Henry, III, of Atlanta, GA; sister, Claudette (Brian) Whittington; grandmother, Elizabeth Newton; two loving nephews, BJ and Gavin and a host of loving relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Dana Cancer Center, Toledo Hospital, Advanced Specialty, Promedica Hospice; Theresa Stone, Michelle Rice and Michael Robinson. The family would like to express their appreciation for your prayers, thoughtfulness and acts of kindness during this time. God bless you all. There will be a Celebration of Rick's life in Washington, DC in the Spring. Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 12:00pm, preceded by a Wake at 11:00am at the House of Day Chapel.
