Jimmy Hunt

Service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd at 1:00pm, wake at 12:00pm at thew House of Day Chapel. Jimmy Hunt Sr., 74, passed Thursday, June 26, 2014 at home. He was born May 13, 1940 to Leroy Hunt and Clara Bell Ingram. Jimmy graduated from Swanton,OH where he played football and ran track, and also played football for The University of Toledo. Jimmy retired as an insurance agent for Mutual Life Inurance company. He was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Mary Hunt; brother, Ike Hunt; son, Patrick Curtis. He left Toledo in the late 60’s and moved to Los Angeles, CA where he worked various jobs and had a very fulfilling life. Once Jimmy settled in California he encouraged his sister and brother to join him. Jimmy felt the need to return to his roots, Toledo, Ohio in 2002 after making contact with his family and childhood friends.He enjoyed bowling, bingo, playing cards and playing chess. Jimmy is survived by sons, Jimmy “Jamie” and Christopher Hunt and Gnonn Caraway; daughters, Robin Smith and Kelly Hunt; brothers, Arthur and Bobby, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin; special sister in law, Johnnie Hunt, other relatives and friends. Jimmy enjoyed his family as he always had a story tell and a time capsule to always go back to.During all this time he always felt the need to tell you how nice retirement was. Jimmy was loved and will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Funeral Services are Wednesday 1:00pm at The House of Day Funeral Services Chapel preceded by 12:00pm wake. Please sign register book at
