<p>Nannie May Pearl Fitzgerald Cunningham, 70, passed away on December 1, 2012. Nannie “Nan” was born in Chatham, Virginia to George Fitzgerald and Nellie Louise Inge. Nannie’s family moved to Toledo, Ohio in the late 1940’s. Nannie graduated from Scott High School, St. Vincent School of Nursing and The University of Toledo- earning a Bachelor’s Degree, two Master’s Degrees and an Administration Specialist Certification.</p><p><br></p><p> Nannie was preceded in death by her Father, George Fitzgerald, Step Father Q’Dell Wordlaw and Step Brother Wendell Wordlaw.</p><p><br></p><p> Nannie retired from the Toledo Public School System where she was first employed as an Educator, teaching Nursing at Scott High School and then as an Administrator, at Libbey High School. After retirement Nannie spent most of her time catering to and caring for her grandchildren and family dog (Junie), which were her greatest joys.</p><p><br></p><p> Nannie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 42 years, Marion Cunningham; her daughters Holly Hodge and Jacquelynne Cunningham. Three grandchildren: LENA Hodge, John “JR” Hodge and London Bryant. Step children, Darrell (Denise) Brown, Debbie Brown, Trina Lewis-Boyd &amp; Tina Boyd; Mother: Mrs. Nellie Wordlaw. Brothers: Jessie (Gennetta) Fitzgerald, James (Rev. Vivian) Fitzgerald. Sister: Shirley Fitzgerald Oliver and Step Sister Rebecca Fitzgerald; Step Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews, great and great-great Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, Aunt Pearl Perry, and Uncle Irwin Fitzgerald; special aunt, Bessie Gregory, Great Aunt Margaret Souders and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.</p><p><br></p><p> Viewing will be held at House of Day Funeral Home on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 am at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Ohio.Pastor Duane C. Tisdale Officiating. Internment Woodlawn Cemetery.</p>
