Johnny May
<p>Our beloved Johnn May was born on August 31, 1956 in Toledo, OH to Wilbur and Elizabeth (Howard) May. He departed this life on August 8, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving wife and children. Johnny accepted Christ at an early age and joined United #2 C.O.G.I.C. He loved fishing, and having bar-b-ques with his family and friends. Johnny went to J.W. Scott High School and worked as a laborer throughout the city of Toledo. He loved to sing. He sang with his wife and he gave them the name (AS ONE). He sang with the Gospel Highlights, the United Community Church Choir, and was on the Deacon Board and the Outreach Ministry. Johnny met and married LaShawn Peterson in 1986, and to this union was four children. He was preceded in death by both his parents Wilbur and Elizabeth May, two special aunts, Carma Dorsey and Ida Bell Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory wife, LaShawn May; sons, Devon Harris, Johnny May Jr., and John May; daughter, Paris May all of Toledo, OH. Also left to cherish his memory are sisters Angela (Jobe) McDonald of Akron, OH; Caron McCoy, Louise Jackson and Brenda May all of Toledo, OH. Brothers William (Connie) May; Mark (Thresea) May and Wilbur (Toyia) May, Jr., all of Toledo, OH. Goddaughters; Talaijia Davison, Jasmine May and Godson, Renard May, all of Toledo, OH; and a host of relatives and friends.</p>August 17, 201208/17/2012
