Obituary

Frances "GeeGee" Mance Mahone, 85, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010, at the Darlington Nursing Home. Frances attended Gunckel Grade School and graduated from Scott High School and Davis Business College. She was preceded in death by both parents, Beatrice and Levi Horton; also husbands, James Wilbur Mance and Daniel Mahone Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy, Catherine and Doris Jenkins; two sons, Carlis and Gray Mance; one great - granddaughter, DeShaun Mookie Mixon and special daughter, Laura J. Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Dona Young, Gerald (Jerry) Mance and Danielle and Billy Lathan; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and special friend Leona Denton. She retired from Jobs and Family Services August 1, 1990. Services will be Wednesday, December 22, at the Worship Center, 2204 Collingwood Blvd., family hour 6:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 7 p.m. Dr. Pat McKinstry officiating.
