Henrietta Marie Burks, 75, went peacefully to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 2, 2010 to be reunited with her husband of 57 years, Edward A. Burks II who preceded her in death in January of 2009. She was born on August 27, 1934 to Calvin Sr., and Marie Coleman in Haddock Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Curtis Coleman.

She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a "casual" or part-time employee and retired as a Supervisor.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a member of Warren A.M.E Church for many, many years where she served on the Stewardess Board #4. Later she joined Payne Memorial A.M.E. Church where she continued serving and worshipping the Lord until her health prevented her from attending regularly.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Edward Anthony III, Gary (Gloria), Victor, of Weehawken, New Jersey, and Brian Burks; daughter, Victoria Burks;

brothers, John Finney, of Detroit, Michigan, and Calvin Coleman Jr.;of Toledo; ten grandchildren, and ten-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Beverly, and many nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
