Florida L. Johnson Obituary

Florida Lee Johnson made her transition from life to her much deserved eternal rest on May 8, 2009, at the age

of 74. She retired from

Heatherdowns Country Club, where she served as prep cook and performed many other duties. Florida also served at the former Flower Hospital.

Florida or "Mama", as she was affectionately called by those who knew her, confessed Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She continued her worship in Christ, attending Christian Community Church until her death. Florida Lee was united in holy matrimony

to Lee L. Johnson Sr., who

preceded her in death; to this union 8 children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Malinda (Ronald) Johnson, Yvonne (Warren) Johnson, Tena (Alonzo) Morales, Darlene (Davis) Booth, Delois

(Timothy) Coogler, Renee (Ralph) Boyd, Latanzia (Les) Clark, and son, Lee L.

Johnson Jr.; 23 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grand-children; special brother-in-law, Eddie (Sam) Dixon; special niece, Patricia Madden of Long Beach, California and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends; special grandchildren, Charmisha and Deon

Johnson. "Mama" left a

legacy of dedication and

devotion to her family and friends. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
