<p>BOWEN John R. John R. Bowen, 89, formerly of Angola Rd., passed away at Fairview Nursing Home on December 30, 2008. He was self employed as a maintenance man. He was born in Pickens, MS to parents, Joseph and Ophelia Bowen. He was a member of St. Paul AME Zion Church for many years. He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Mamie; sisters and brothers. He is survived by daughter, Verda Clerk; brother, Dennison (Hattie) Bowen; sisters, Elma Johnson and Lenora Yarbrough. Visitation Friday 4-6 p.m. at the House of Day Funeral Service. Funeral Saturday, 12 noon, preceded by wake at 11 a.m. at St. Paul AME Zion Church. Burial, Monday 10 a.m. Forest Cemetery.</p>Obituary
