<p>Cynthia Joyce (Collins) Hardy, 69, of Victor, NY entered into eternal peace on November 21, 2022 in the comfort of her beautiful home. She was born in Rochester, NY to the late Lee and C. Joyce Collins. Cynthia was a loving wife to Marshall Clinton Hardy Jr., mother to her children, Ashley and Austin (Kristen) Hardy, sister to Kathleen Lee Rood Quagliata (Terry), Kimberly Jaye Mryglod (Kevin), Timothy John Collins (Jeannine), Aunt to many nieces and nephews, and friend to all.</p><p><br></p><p>Cynthia and her three siblings were raised by their incredibly strong and beloved mother in their grand home on Highland Ave. in Rochester, NY. She attended grammar school at Martin B Anderson #1 School, St. Agnes Catholic High School, and Monroe Community College for Nursing. During her youth, she was Miss Congeniality in the Harvest Queen Pageant, played the violin and sang at the Eastman School of Music, and modeled for many local advertisements.</p><p><br></p><p>After receiving her nursing degree, she started her career in healthcare at Highland Hospital where she dedicated over three decades to providing her patients with exceptional care. She spent most of her career on West 7 where she made many lifelong friends. In 2013, she received the ROSE Award in recognition of her compassionate and extraordinary care. Cynthia was a talented phlebotomist, mentor to many, and always eager to share her skillset with all.</p><p><br></p><p>Cynthia married Marshall C. Hardy Jr. on July 11, 1987. Together they raised their two beautiful children, Ashley Elizabeth and Austin Marshall, in Walworth, NY before designing and building their dream home overlooking the hills of Victor, NY in 2001. She loved caring for the family horses, dogs, and relaxing in her pool. As a family, they took yearly vacations to the beach in the Outer Banks, North Carolina.</p><p><br></p><p>Cynthia enjoyed decorating her home, entertaining and hosting dinner gatherings, the beauty of horses, lighthouses, and all things beaches. She loved to attend Ashley’s horse shows, Austin’s sporting events, and go on dates with Marshall in his classic cars. Cynthia cherished spending time with her children and family. After many years of serving as a dedicated nurse, she continued to use her expertise at nursing homes and to provide long term care for her beloved mother in her childhood home. She was a strong and determined woman who epitomized what a true “Angel in White” is.</p><p><br></p><p>A service was held at Maplewood Cemetery surrounded by family and friends on November 25, 2022.
