Richard "Rickmo" Wade Thomas Obituary

Richard “Rickmo” Wade Thomas, age 60, of Mystic, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his home.

Rickmo was born on December 1, 1961 in Michigan City, Indiana, the son of Richard and Sharon (Tuszynski) Thomas.

Rickmo held different jobs throughout his lifetime.  He worked as a carpenter building houses and other construction work with Jimmy Walker Construction, tending bars, and most recently at Rubbermaid in Centerville.  In his free time, Rickmo enjoyed drinking beer, smoking and hanging out with his family and friends. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to music, especially music he listened to as a child.  Rickmo always thought of others first.  He always took care of everyone around him before worrying about his own needs.

Left to honor Rickmo’s memory are his siblings, Rodney (Penny Opperman) Thomas, Vickie (Ted) Clark, and Judy (Steve) McDaniel; his brother-in-law, Robert Wireman; aunt, Joyce Tuszynski; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Rickmo was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Sharon Thomas; his sister, Katy Wireman; an uncle and aunt, E.C. and Pat Jones; and two cousins, Mike Jones and Ted Jones.

Per wishes, cremation has been accorded.  A private Celebration of Life will be held.  Memorials may be made to the family of Richard Thomas, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, ATTN: Thomas family, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.  Condolences may be shared online at www.langefh.com or on our funeral home Facebook page.
