<p>Dorothy “Dottie” Davison</p><p><br></p><p>Cotuit, MA - Dorothy Cronk Davison, formerly of Niskayuna, NY, passed away on November 22, 2022. Born in Sayre, PA on October 31, 1928 to Floyd H. and Bernetta A. Cronk, Dottie grew up in Ithaca, NY and frequently spent summers with family in Ocean Grove, NJ. It was while attending Ithaca College (Class of ‘53) that Dottie met her husband Malcolm Davison, a student at Cornell University. They wed in June 1955 and spent 67 loving years together.</p><p><br></p><p>Throughout Mac’s career at General Electric, the family moved back and forth between Erie, PA and Schenectady, NY retiring to Niskayuna, NY in 1983. Dottie was active in every community she lived in, whether in the public schools, social clubs, or the local genealogical societies. During retirement they spent countless hours on family adventures, traveling to research family ancestry, and participating in the local Civil War roundtables. Dottie convinced the family to take one last great adventure when they relocated to Cotuit, MA in 2011.</p><p><br></p><p>Dottie is survived by her husband, Malcolm Davison; daughter Barbara Kimmey and her husband Michael; her grandsons Brian Kimmey, Matthew Kimmey and his wife Hannah, and great-grandson George Kimmey.</p><p><br></p><p>She will be interned at the East Lawn Cemetery in Ithaca, NY. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Cotuit Firefighters Relief Fund at PO Box 512, Cotuit, MA 02635.</p><p><br></p>

I always had great memories of Dottie and Mac visiting us at my parents house on Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was always so cheerful and pleasant.
