FIKES Kevin Lamar Kevin Lamar Fikes departed this life October 19, 2008, in St. Vincent Medical Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH, June 2, 1958 to Donna (Fikes) Smith and Robert Estridge. He was reared by his stepfather, Elder James Smith. Kevin attended Toledo Public Schools and received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy. He loved music, and to play drums. He was employed by Shamrock Doyle Co. Kevin accepted Jesus Christ and was visiting Cornerstone Church. He is survived by his mother, Donna Smith; son, Lorenzo Jones; grandsons, Ghottie and Tayshawn Jones; stepbrothers and stepsister, Willie (Esther) Smith, Bobby (Patricia) Smith and Alice Faye Scott; aunts, Christine Mack and Josephine Cleaves; uncle, Leonard Fikes; special cousins, Wanda and Antonia Washington and Nikkita (Solomon) Oyeyeme; special friends, Diane and Pamela and many, many other special friends. Viewing Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service Friday 11 a.m. in the House of Day Funeral Service Chapel.
