Cordell Freake

July 16, 1953 – November 19, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cordell Freake announce his passing on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 69 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 45 years Sheila (nee Barnes); children: Melissa (Colin) McDoanld and Michael (Laura) Freake; grandchildren: Caleb and Kylie McDonald, Thomas and Noah Freake; mother Grace Freake; sister Linda Freake; mother-in-law Gertrude Barnes; sister and brothers-in-law: Jean Williams, Junior Barnes, Jeff Barnes and Sheldon Barnes (Ren); special friends: Kay and Steve Whitten, Dave LeDrew and Denis Fortin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, colleagues and many friends. He was predeceased by his father Frederick Freake, father-in-law Hubert Barnes and brother-in-law Clyde Williams. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Kris Gosse officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request, donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation. A special thank you to Dr. Brent Thistle and Colleen Carey, Dr. A. Howley and Dr. A. Pieroway and all nurses and staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
