<p>Mr. Robert Larry Simpson, Jr. was born February 23, 1949 to the union of Robert Larry Simpson and</p><p> Rachel Smith in Marion, Arkansas. He was called home on June 28, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio</p><p> Detroit Ave. at the age of 59.</p><p><br></p><p> He attended Phelix High School in Marion, Arkansas. Upon completion of high school, he joined his sister, Myrtle in Toledo, Ohio. He joined the United States Naval Academy and was honorably discharged. He also attended Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana.</p><p><br></p><p> Robert was a man of many talents. He had an entrepreneurial spirit that took him along many paths. He loved rehabilitating houses and apartment buildings. It was his desire to become his own boss. He accomplished this by purchasing a carryout that he called Simpson's Carryout at the corner of Buckingham and Junction. He became well known in the neighborhood and was liked by all.</p><p><br></p><p> He professed his love for Christ and had an abundance of faith that kept him going in whatever obstacles that were tossed his way. He truly believed in God and his goodness.Robert was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Myrtle Hum.</p><p><br></p><p> Robert Simpson leaves to cherish his memory his children, grandchildren; sister, Jimmie Ford (Earl) of Oakland, CA; special niece, Ida Stacker; special great-nephew, Johnte Stacker; special family friend, Ida Jamison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p> Funeral Services will be Saturday July 5, 2008 12:00noon at The House of Day Funeral Services Chapel preceded by 11:00am wake.
