John Jones, 79, of Toledo, OH, native of Greenville, SC, passed away June 16, 2008, at University Medical Center (MCO). John was born April 12, 1929, to the late Otis and Carrie Jones. In spite of his challenges, John was a positive person who loved to be around family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory, son, Russell; daughter, Carolyn; sisters, Margaret O'Neal and Aline Robinson; many nieces and nephews, forming a special bond with nephew, Michael O'Neal.

Wake services will be Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., followed by Home Going service at 11:00 a.m., Greater Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, 2901 N. Detroit Ave. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH. Arrangements by the House of Day Funeral Services.
