Jacqueline "Jackie" F. Gauthier
<p>CARENCRO ~ Memorial services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at a 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service in Evangeline Memorial Gardens for Jacqueline "Jackie" F. Gauthier, age 88, the former Jacqueline Harris, who passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at Maison Du Monde in Abbeville.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Gauthier was a native of Topeka, Kansas for eighteen years, a resident of Lafayette until 1992, and then she moved to Carencro. She was a teacher assistant for fifteen years with Lafayette Parish and she worked for Cornerstone Nursing Home as an activities director for five years.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include one son, Frank "Buddy" Daigle and his wife, Sandi, of Lafayette; two daughters, Brenda Daigle Leblanc and her husband, Bill, of Metairie and Tonya Daigle of Carencro; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Harris and the former Wilma Lacy; the father of her children and love of her life for twenty-five years, Frank A. Daigle; her second husband, Raymond Grossie; her third husband, L.J. "Poppa" Gauthier for ten years; and three brothers, John Harris, Ward Harris, and Dale Harris.</p><p><br></p><p>Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue, (337) 896-6366, is in charge of arrangements.</p>December 31, 1933 - November 21, 202212/31/193311/21/2022
