Terry Henry Hyatt Obituary

HYATT, Terry Henry

Terry was born in London, Ontario January 7, 1940. He passed away at North Bay Regional Health Centre, November 20, 2022.  Beloved husband of Elizabeth Hyatt (nee Sinclair).  Terry is survived by his brother Jack Hyatt of London.  Proud father of Rob (Shari), Heidi McMillan (Billie), Tom (Tammy), and John (Rhonda). Cherished and loving Grandpa of Julaine, Aislynn, and Clarke McMillan, Maggie Collins and Ellie Hyatt, and Mark and Raina Hyatt. Terry was an avid outdoorsman. He graduated from Dorset Forest Ranger School in 1962 and was employed as Deputy Chief Ranger in Temagami. He later completed his designation as a Property Assessor and became a Manager for the Municipal Assessment Office of North Bay-Parry Sound District until his retirement in 1993. Terry and his family became the third-generation owners of the family tourist business “Nanmark Cottages,” which was established in 1935 by his grandparents Nan and Mark Ayres. Terry retired in 2014 after 27 years of operating the camp. Terry will be remembered for his quick wit, his carpentry skills, his easy way with friends, and, most of all, the time spent with his family and his two golden retrievers, Ginger and Sugar. Hunting and fishing were his favourite times of all. Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Condolences and visitation at Paul Funeral Home in Powassan, Ontario on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
