Viola E. Howard, 91, Neenah, passed away in her sleep Thursday morning, September 13, 2012, at Kilkenny Cottage, Neenah. She was born on August 4, 1921, in Wausau, WI, daughter of Otto and Minnie Weinke. Viola married Floyd F. Howard on September 7, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1989. Viola was a wonderful, loving and giving person who thoroughly enjoyed taking care of people, children, and her many pets. Viola was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, and a former member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Viola is survived by a daughter, Jane (Kevin) Dolan, Neenah; three sons: Dennis (Susan) Howard, Neenah; Eugene (Peggy) Howard, Menasha; and Richard (Anita) Howard, Appleton; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Viola was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Floyd Jr. and James Howard; and a daughter, Janet Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Lunch and entombment will follow the services. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established in Viola's name.
