Mickey L. Bishop Jr., 65, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016. He was born on June 7, 1951, in Marquette, MI to the late Mickey Sr. and Esther (Anderson) Bishop. Mickey was united in marriage to Teresa Kuhnz on October 11, 2003, at the First Presbyterian Church, Neenah. He was very musically gifted, and enjoyed playing guitar and singing with the Salty Dawgs Band. Mickey and Teresa owned the Rising Star Entertainment, a DJ karaoke service. He was an avid Detroit Lions, Red Wings, and a Detroit Tigers fan. Mickey also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Teresa, a daughter, a son, 3 stepdaughters, 5 grandchildren, 3 sisters: Nancy (Ken) Lindstrom, Laurinda Bishop, and Cyndie (Tom) Simula, a brother Rick Bishop, and many other relatives and friends. Mickey was preceded in death by his brother Roy Bishop. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, September 9, 2016, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Rev. Terry Hamilton-Poore officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Immediately following the service full military honors will be presented by active duty members of the US Navy and the Neenah-Menasha Veterans Honor Team.
