Obituary Donald G. Stoegbauer, age 85, of Menasha, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018, surrounded by his family. Donald was born on June 15, 1933 in Oshkosh. He loved his family and taught his children many things to take with them on life's journey. He worked hard as a Millwright at American Can Co. for over 45 years. Donald was an avid hunter, fisherman and all around "Mr. Fix it" and enjoyed woodworking. He was also a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Donald married Gertrude "Gertie" Eckrich on July 4th, 1954 and they have been happily married for 64 years. In addition to his wife Gertie, he is survived by his children; Reuben (Karen) Stoegbauer, Donald Jr. (Ann) Stoegbauer, Cathy (Michael) Szczepanski, Ken (Kim) Stoegbauer, and Susan Clay. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Amanda and David Stoegbauer, Rena (David) Cross, Eric (Hailey) Stoegbauer, Jamie (Dana) Johnston, and Cori Clay; 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Richard Stoegbauer, Jeff Croston, Tom (Bonnie) Allen, a sister, Jackie Burr and two sisters-in-law, Marie and Joyce Stoegbauer. Donald was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Fred Clay, a daughter-in-law, Louise Stoegbauer, brothers; Theodore, Patrick, Jack "Butch", sisters; Carol, Mary Ann, Doris and Barbara and many brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services. Military honors will be performed by the Neenah-Menasha Funeral Honors Team following the services.
