Dale Hedtke Obituary

Obituary Dale E. Hedtke, age 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at home with his family by his side, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Waupaca, WI, on March 18, 1952, son of the late Alfred and Betty (Phelps) Hedtke. Dale was united in marriage to Cindy Lindsey on July 24, 1976, in Neenah. He was employed at Bel-Kaukauna Cheese for 35 years as a semi driver. As a semi driver, Dale spent much of his time on the east coast. He could tell you how to get around Boston better than Neenah. Dale made it perfectly clear to his children and grandchildren that they were never to follow in his footsteps as a semi driver, unless they wanted his boot in their backside. Anyone that has ever met Dale will remember him for his "easy going" personality, expert storytelling, and his infectious laugh. He always enjoyed a cold beer with family and friends, as well as a good rummage sale or any bargain he could find. Dale is survived by his wife Cindy Hedtke; three children, Erick Hedtke, Jason Hedtke and Tonya Hedtke; three grandchildren, Christopher Swenson, Dylan Hedtke, and Dakota Rilling; six great grandchildren, Sky Hedtke, Jude Hedtke, Kalli Hedtke, Charli Hedtke, Charles Swenson, and Henryk Hedtke; mother and father in-law, Melvin and Jeannette Lindsey; brother-in-laws Mel (Gail) Lindsey, Russell (Angie) Lindsey, Keith Lindsey; sister-in-laws Chris (Rick) Smith, Mickie (Kevin) OBrien, Pam (Rich) LaBarge and Connie Hedtke, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Hedtke, sister Darlene Koeune, brothers Dennis Hedtke, Ralph Petersen, Jim Petersen, sister-in-law Justine Bouck and nephew Jestin Koeune. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street, Menasha, with Rev. Steve Billings officiating. Friends and relatives may greet the family at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 4th floor Oncology doctors, nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital as well as the Affinity Hospice Team.
