James P. "Jimmy" Plymire Obituary

James P. "Jimmy" Plymire, 50, Menasha, whose attitude and spirit was always "Faith" "Fight" "Live", passed away with his wife by his side after a courageous battle with cancer Friday, July 6, 2012. He was born March 11, 1962, in Monroe, son of James and Sara (Nickel) Plymire. James married Alondra Cendejas June 5, 2012, in Montana. Jimmy's passion was protecting and helping others, which he accomplished through his employment as a Patrol Officer and SWAT Team Sniper for the Neenah Police Department. He served 22 years with the Neenah Police Department, starting March 6, 1989 and retiring due to his illness on June 8, 2012. Jimmy loved fishing, photography, reloading, and weightlifting, and honing his sniper skills through countless hours of practice. James served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Alondra; parents, James (Carol) Plymire, Hilbert; sister, Cynthia (Michael) Romnek, Appleton; brother, Michael Plymire, Utah; sister, Erika (Craig) Klatt, Pulaski; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Estela (Melchor) Cendejas, Menasha; 3 brothers-in-law and 5 sisters-in-law: Ana (Juan) Guerrero, Neenah; Briana, Mexico; Alejandra, Cristal, and Melanie Cendejas all of Menasha; nieces and nephews: Sarah and Rachael Romnek; Kassidy, Candice and JP Guerrero; other family and friends including Jimmy's Neenah Police Department family. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Sara L. Plymire. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 473 7th St., Menasha with Rev. David Skarsten and Fr. Bill Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the church and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, Jimmy's wishes were that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, 790 Marvelle Lane, Green Bay, WI 54304 (1800 227 2345)(www.cancer.org).
