PORT BARRE ~ A graveside service will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. in Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 Hwy 182, Opelousas, LA 70570) for Glenn Thomas Fontenot, age 74, who passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Fontenot was a native of Opelousas and a longtime resident of Port Barre. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Glenn loved being outdoors and was also a big fan of camping.

Survivors include his sons, Chris Fontenot (Brandy) of Port Barre and Shane Fontenot of Opelousas; two brothers, Gene Robert Fontenot and Mark Keith Fontenot; a sister, Rita Fontenot Hawkins; and his grandson, Andrew Michael Fontenot.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lynn Guillory Fontenot; his parents, Alvin Fontenot and the former Ozelina Tabb; two brothers, Warren Fontenot and Alvin Earl Fontenot; and three sisters, Audrey F. Richard, Patricia F. Cain, and Marguerite F. Miller.

The family requests that service attendees arrive at Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 Hwy 182, Opelousas, LA) in time for the service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
