Cynthia Lee Spellman

Cynthia Lee Spellman, age 82 of Urbana, Ohio passed away on November 18, 2022 in Urbana, Ohio. She was born on April 21, 1940 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Charles and E. Genevive (Robinson) Millner. Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Hugh Spellman, daughter, Stacy L. (Dr. Richard) Owens Jr., grandchild, Richard “Richie” Owens III, sister, Marsha (Phil) Allen, brother, David (Deb) Millner, sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Susan Spellman, and several nieces.

Cynthia was a 1958 graduate of Urbana High School. She attended Urbana University and attended the Columbus School of Art and Design, where she had received a scholarship. Cynthia's two passions were golf and art. She won the Ladies Championship in golf and won numerous awards for her art, including some at the Springfield Arts Center and the Champaign County Fair. She also volunteered and taught art. Cynthia worked as a dental assistant under Dr. Poffenberger. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Urbana.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m at the Oak Dale Cemetery Chapel.
