Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of June Leone Gaye announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls Windsor on November 20, 2022 at the age of 66.

June fought courageously through the years with many health issues and always did so with dignity and grace. Her positive attitude was an inspiration to her family and friends. She always took everything in stride and continued on with a quiet determination. One of the kindest individuals you would ever meet, June had a way to make you feel truly important when you spoke to her. Never one to complain, she rarely spoke about herself and was more concerned with how others were doing.

She worked most of her life in the family convenience store and was well known in the community for her calm and friendly demeanour.

Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Mary Gaye. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, her son Ryan and grandchildren Caleb and Colby, who she cherished more than anything. As well as siblings Dan (Cavell), Bob (Pam), Judy (Clayton) and Joe (Christine). Nieces and nephews Danielle, Jonathan, Angela, Lee, Robyn, Adam, Kristy, Danny, Michael, Ashley, Matthew and Jordan.

A viewing will take place on Thursday November 24th from 7-9 PM at Central Funeral Home in Bishop’s Falls. The funeral will take place at Sacred Heart Parish in Bishop’s Falls on Friday November 25th at 2 PM.
