Max Elroy Pierce, 87, of Egg Harbor City, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ surrounded by his loved ones. Born on May 13, 1935, in Cadiz, Ohio, he is predeceased by his parents, Russell and Irene, his sister Norma, and his two brothers, Kenny and Les. Max served in the US Air Force and was proud of the time he served. He retired from Stockton University after 20 years of employment in the Building Maintenance Department. He followed that up with working 10 years for the Integrity Bus Company.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Jo, of 27 years, as well as his step-son and family and his step-daughter and her family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved to share pictures and talk about their activities to everyone -- even strangers.

Max was a lifelong fan of the STEELERS! He had a man cave decorated with memorabilia and wore his ball caps, shirts and jackets year around and would proudly show off his Steelers tattoo.

A private military burial will be held.
