<p>Richard Louis Evick<br></p><p><br></p><p>Richard Louis Evick, 82 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday November 16, 2022, at his residence. Born May 14, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio to Edward Earl and Velma Jean (Newbirt) Evick. Richard was a graduate of Libbey High School and attended St. Louis Community College in Kirkwood, Missouri where he earned his Associates Degree in Technical Illustration.</p><p><br></p><p>Richard was a Technical Publications Specialist for Mazda and retired from there in 2007, he previously worked as a Publications Manager, Product Analyst, Illustrator, and a Snap on Tool dealer. Richard attended The Boulevard Christian Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Richard affectionately known as “Duke” was a life-long automobile enthusiast, especially interested in drag racing, car shows, and old car restoration. In younger years, he was a physical fitness enthusiast involved in weight training and walking. In his Golden Years, Richard enjoyed meeting up with life-long friends at the “Old Guys” monthly breakfast, nature walks with Nancy at Hidden Lake Gardens, and Spending time with his dog Toby.</p><p><br></p><p>Richard is survived by his sons, Les (Sheri) Evick, Tony Evick, daughter, Lori Evick, Brothers, Craig ( Lisa) Smith, Mark ( Mary Grace) Smith, 3 Nieces, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, also surviving is his special friend and companion Nancy Sass.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life service will be held on December 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at The Boulevard Christian Church 7041 Sylvania Ave, Sylvania, Ohio. The Family suggests memorials to Disable American Veterans. Condolences can be sent to the family the Berstickerscottfuneralhome.com website.
